Functional Responsibilities |
|
1 |
Set and develop the vision, objectives, strategies, and action plans for the conservation of heritage sites based on assessments of the features, monuments, sites, areas, landscapes, and places of cultural significance. |
2 |
Manage, build, and implement national awareness initiatives and programs concerning the great values of heritage in line with RCU’s strategy of preserving and activating the rich heritage in AlUla, Khaybar & Tayma regions. |
3 |
Monitor and identify key conservation issues requiring attention and prioritize plans to address those issues. |
4 |
Oversee the preservation and development work including the removal, addition, rearrangement and other interventions to the physical structure and layout of heritage structures and sites of heritage significance in accordance with international best practice. |
5 |
Support the development and installation of exhibitions and displays of immoveable and moveable cultural heritage. |
6 |
Direct and oversee the delivery of preservation and enhancement of tangible heritage at the heritage sites including archaeological features, sites, areas, landscapes, and standing architecture. |
7 |
Provide recommendations for the design of site infrastructure to ensure that the design and construction conforms to the authenticity and integrity of the sites. |
8 |
Monitor all preventive, interceptive, and emergency preservation programs and initiatives. |
9 |
Perform any other job related duties as required by the direct manager. |
Managerial Responsibilities |

1 |
Contribute to the sector’s short- and long-term strategy from the Department's perspective in line with RCU overall vision and mission. |
2 |
Develop the Department's strategy, objectives, KPIs annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets. |
3 |
Prepare and submit the Department's annual budget for approval taking all planned activities and necessary investments into consideration by monitoring the financial performance. |
4 |
Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation and adherence of the department policies and procedures as well as the overall performance of the department and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated, and monitored. |
5 |
Ensure effective staffing, professional development, and deployment of staff of the sector in consultation with the Sector Executive. |
6 |
Direct the Department's connection to its customers, whether internal or external, to ensure customer needs are met effectively. |
