Job Purpose

Supervise and manage procedures for collection management and work closely with related departments and staff on collection management, collections storage and support access to archaeology, heritage and art collections.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement the collection management policies and procedures through reviewing the related standards and best practices.
  2. Develop and implement the methods of collecting and managing tangible cultural heritage and artifacts of AlUla.
  3. Supervise the accessioning of the collection items process and maintaining the related records and files
  4. Manage and maintain the collections’ items and monitor their inventory and exhibition activities
  5. Coordinates all aspects of the receipt and return of incoming and outgoing artwork.
  6. Identify and resolve collections management issues.
  7. Facilitate the creation, collation and dissemination of knowledge related to the collections and the tangible and intangible heritage of the AlUla County.
  8. Manage the end to end documentation collections management processes of the art and heritage objects acquired by or on loan to RCU.
  9. Perform any other job related duties as required by the direct manager.


Job Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in in Archeology, Anthropology, History, Art & Culture, Museum Studies or Cultural Heritage Management or equivalent (Master Preferred)


Work Experience

  • 8 years of relevant experience


Other Requirements

  • Written and Oral proficiency of English language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
