  1. Job Purpose

Manage Conservation Department operations on conservation activities, support conservation projects and operations to develop and manage in the effective workflow and liaise daily basis with field conservation team (conservation taskforce), to control, monitor and execute with them all the needed material activities that are implied as their tasks. Also control internal communication with other departments in the KI, other RCU departments and externally with service providers, projects for developing a successful conservation work in AlUla, Khaybar and Taima.

 

  1. Key Duties and Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

1

Provide input in the development of the vision, objectives, strategies, protocols and action plans for cultural heritage conservation in AlUla County.

2

Manage the general overview of any possible field operation in conservation by the Conservation Task Force.

3

Effectively control the field operations of the Conservation Task Force.

4

Assist the Conservation director providing recommendations and operational support for other RCU department’s  projects in AlUla.

5

Liaise with project managers, contractors, vendors, in the implementation of RCU protocols and procedures.

Support the Non Activated and Activated Site Conservation in the operations regarding coordinating with the stakeholders involved.

Provide operational support and guidance to the conservation department.

Ensuring the conservation department team to follow the international and national operational and safety functions in conservation activities.

9

Manage, organize and store accordingly to existing and new databases, the digital and written documentation developed by the Conservation Department.

10

Supporting operational risks related to conservation activities.

Managerial Responsibilities

1

Provide input to the sector’s strategy from the Department's or Section's perspective in line with RCU overall vision and mission.

Develop the Department's or Section's objectives, KPIs, annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets

3

Contribute to the preparation of the Department's or Section's annual budget and monitor the financial performance of the Department or Section.

Implement and execute the Department's or Section's policies and procedures. Oversee the overall performance of the section and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.

5

Ensure effective staffing, professional development and deployment of staff of the Department or Section in consultation with the Sector Executive or (Executive) Director.
