Job Purpose

Manage institutional advocacy, literary publications and programs ensuring coordinating the Advisory Board matters. In addition, collaborate with stakeholders and relevant authorities to create and ensure the publication of compelling content that communicates RCU's vision, mission, and achievements.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Develop advocacy strategies and plans and monitor their implementation to position RCU as a global thought leader on priority issues.
  • Collaborate with experts and think tanks to produce white papers, briefing notes, and position statements on emerging topics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with policy makers, academics and industry leaders to foster collaboration and advocacy impact.
  • Lead the development and production of thought leadership, case studies, reports, and other materials targeting expert audiences.
  • Monitor global discussions in areas of core alignment with RCU’s strategy to identify key themes, events, and other opportunities for RCU to engage with thought leaders and practitioners.
  • Oversee the management of AlUla public library operations, including but not limited to staffing need, location facilitation, materials, programs.
  • Oversee all literary publications from RCU, including managing the production and launch of key publications and reviewing and approving all literary publications affiliated with RCU.
  • Lead public-facing literary programs to enhance literacy and the literary culture of AlUla.
  • Manage the Advisory Board’s engagement and contribution to RCU, and oversee meetings coordination, leading all communication and reporting pertaining to Advisory Board members, and undertaking annual assessments of members’ contributions.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the preparation of the Department's or Section's annual budget and monitor the financial performance of the Department or Section.
  • Develop the Department's or Section's objectives, KPIs, annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets
  • Ensure effective staffing, professional development and deployment of staff of the Department or Section in consultation with the Sector Executive or (Executive) Director.
  • Implement and execute the Department's or Section's policies and procedures. Oversee the overall performance of the section and ensure KPI’s are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.
  • Provide input to the sector’s strategy from the Department's or Section's perspective in line with RCU overall vision and mission.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree Preferred) in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Work Experience

  • 6 years of relevant experience and 2 years in a managerial role

  • Maintains a high standard of professionalism, presentation, personal integrity, and customer support.
  • Familiarity with standards, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Written and Oral proficiency of Arabic and English languages.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Strong academic foundation with experience in social or advocacy driven activities.
  • Professional experience within think tanks specially in 3 field (Financial sector, real state, urban development).
