Job Purpose

Support in drafting, reviewing, and organizing regulatory instruments and internal bylaws by conducting legal research, preparing supporting documents, and assisting in consultation and publication procedures.

 

Key Accountabilities

Functional Responsibilities

Assist in drafting the legal texts of RCU’s regulatory instruments in accordance with the RIA/FPP requirements and submit outputs for the Manager’s review and validation.

Assist in drafting legislative proposals for amending applicable laws within RCU’s geographical boundaries and submit outputs for the Manager’s validation.

Contribute to the assessment and review of RIA or FPP for regulatory instruments. Conduct research on regulatory frameworks from similar entities to RCU, consolidating insights to capture best practices, and submitting findings for the Manager’s validation.

Assist in the internal and external consultation process, and the publication of RCU’s regulatory instruments on the Istitlaa platform. Prepare response summaries as required.

Review technical documents accompanying regulatory instruments to ensure legal quality assurance and risk mitigation.

Monitor proposed national legislative and regulatory changes published on the Istitlaa platform and prepare summaries for internal use.

Maintain records and documentation of approved RCU regulatory instruments to support legislative drafting and version control

Translate and proofread regulatory instruments and supporting documents to ensure compliance with legal language standards.

Assist in the development and amendment of RCU’s internal bylaws, and support coordination of the internal approval process.

Perform any other job-related duties required by the direct manager.
