  1. Job Purpose

Participate in the analysis of strategic risks, risk treatment plans, and analyzing risk-related indicators appropriately identified and effectively mitigated.


  1. Key Duties and Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities


Participate in the development and implementation of the Strategy Risk Management annual plan


Participate in the implementation of initiatives and activities in order to achieve the strategy risk plan


Participate in the review and recommend improvements related to Enterprise Risk Management policy, target operating model, framework and procedures to the  line Manager.


Participate in the identification and analysis of strategic and strategy related risks related to the Sectors as well as at the RCU level.


Participate in the identification of the current controls in place to address each risk. Assess the control effectiveness and highlight gaps which need to be remediated.


Participate in the formulation of a comprehensive risk treatment plan, including, but not limited to, identifying the appropriate risk response strategy, assigning action items to specific owners and agreeing a set deadline for each action.


Participate in the process of identifying and analyzing risk-related indicators, such as key risk indicators, and preparing reports of violations, and submitting them to the concerned parties.


Assist in the periodic review of strategic and strategy related risks, their controls and associated treatment plans in coordination with the concerned parties.


Assist in the recording and reporting of all the operational losses faced by RCU, related to strategic and strategy related risks in the Operational Loss Database on a quarterly basis.


Contribute, where applicable, to the preparation of a strategy and an execution plan for risk management at the level of the Commission and its affiliated bodies.


Contribute, where applicable, to the preparation and development of risk assessment and analysis criteria such as the level of risk occurrence, the level of risk effects, and the level of effectiveness of controls.


Assist in the consolidation of Risk Registers from other ERM sections (Capital Risk, Operational Risk) and provide a consolidated Risk Register to the line Manager for their review and approval.


Assist in the development and implementation of the annual training plan for Strategy Risk section.
